Claremont is premier of the 2025 WAFL Colts competition for the third consecutive season.

The Tigers got the better of South Fremantle 18.6(114) to 9.5(59), kicking 14 goals to four after an even first quarter to run away big winners.

West Coast father-son prospect Charlie Banfield saved arguably his best game for the biggest stage, with the big-bodied midfielder adding presence around the footy to finish with 28 disposals.

The Eagles will get priority access to the 191cm prospect, who took out the Mel Whinnen Medal for best afield.

AFL Academy member Cody Curtin was instrumental, kicking six goals to lift his Colts tally for the season to 39.

His day was highlighted by a long bomb from well beyond the arc to finish the first quarter which proved his enormous kicking power, while he was typically immoveable in one-on-one contests.

Curtin has dominated for Claremont this season, but a quieter National Championships and AFL Academy series has him viewed as a prospect later in the AFL Draft.

Some view him as a likely defender at the next level.

Fremantle Next Generation Academy prospect Toby Whan was a key first half playmaker for South Fremantle but was ruled out with a shoulder injury midway through the third quarter, while partner in crime Fred Rodriguez had 25 disposals and showed plenty of the same traits which won him Western Australia's U18s MVP.

Heath Mellody and Harper Banfield loom as a couple to watch for next season, while star bottom-aged Fremantle Next Generation Academy prospect Lucas Robinson fought hard for four quarters to finish with 21 touches for South Freo.
