Geelong has reportedly made an 11th hour bid for North Melbourne forward, Aaron Black.
The Cats lost mobile forward Shane Kersten to Fremantle earlier today, as well as onballer Josh Caddy to Richmond, while Nathan Vardy is likely to join West Coast.
Given the departures, Geelong will look to add another tall to its set up in the last few hours of the trade period to help key forward Tom Hawkins.
Black had a breakout year in 2013, kicking 33 goals in 18 games, however, has struggled for opportunity since, managing just three games in the past two seasons.
The 192cm forward has played a total of 50 career games with the Kangaroos, since being selected with pick No.25 in the 2009 National Draft. He has kicked 64 goals.
