Carlton has brought forward the starting date of incoming CEO Graham Wright as the club weighs up the future of coach Michael Voss.
Wright was set to join the Blues in October, taking over from long-time administrator Brian Cook, but instead will walk through the doors of Ikon Park on August 15.
Carlton president Rob Priestley said Wright's imminent arrival would help the transition from Cook, whilst also getting a kickstart on a new era.
"We're just putting the final stages of that transition plan together โฆ a few weeks out, we think (August 15) is the right date," Priestley said.
"It allows Brian (Cook) to finish off a few projects and commitments he's got, and it also gives us a really good opportunity for Graham utilising his expertise to really support our footy department at the moment, when it's a really important time for us."
However, Priestly refused to guarantee Voss' future beyond 2025, albeit referring to his contract that expires in 18 months' time.
Instead, the Blues president said the club would make a "calm and reasonable decision" on his future at the season's end.
"Yeah, Voss is contracted until the end of 2026 โ that doesn't change," Priestly said.
"I think what we're trying to do here is really focus on the next eight weeks โฆ get ourselves into the very best possible position to address things that we need to address.
"That gets us into the end of the season, where we can, in a really calm and measured way, make decisions if we need to make them then.
"I wouldn't call it a review (of Voss' tenure) โฆ at the end of the season (we will) go through what all good organisations do in terms of assessing what they're up to, what gaps they might have, and as a collective working through that and making decisions we need to make in a calm and reasonable way."
Despite playing September football in the past two seasons, pundits have come for the Blues and Voss following a poor 2025 to date, resulting in six wins and a current 11th-place standing in the competition.
Carlton turns its attention to the Friday night lights at the MCG, where they'll take on premiership favourites and arch rivals Collingwood.
