The 2017 AFL Grand Final was won by Richmond who had an absolutely stellar season to say the least, although most punters were throwing their money behind Adelaide to win at the 'G on that Saturday afternoon in September.
Although we all know how that turned out, a quiet second quarter from Adelaide allowed Richmond to build a lead and eventually ride the momentum until the final siren rang.
Many of the Adelaide squad was touted to really trouble the tigers, but in reality nothing came to fruition.
Taylor Walker, Tom Lynch and Rory Sloane had not showcased anything like they had in the regular season.
We could sit here for a while and list the players that went missing that game, but one in particular has admitted how hard that loss was to swallow.
Charlie Cameron, who is now at the Lions, admits the thought of that day still hurts him.
In a recent interview, Cameron admitted to performing poorly and not living up to his usual high standard.
"A few times here they've shown a few clips of the Grand Final, talking about Richmond, I had my head down thinking, 'I'm not watching this'," Cameron told AFL.com.au.
"You don't want to think about it because you lost the Grand Final.
"You try and move on. The sun comes up the next day.
"It was a good learning point to play in a Grand Final.
"You've got to stand up in big moments and I don't think I did that well. It reflects the way we played."
He claims however that he really enjoyed his time in Adelaide, speaking only highly of the club and its players.
He played 73 games over four seasons at the crows and is now hoping to take that experience and translate it over to the Lions to hopefully improve their recent poor form.
"Coming here you try and help out and be a leader, I've played 73 games and I have that experience I want to pass on" Cameron said.
Hopefully come the start of the 2018 season, Cameron has forgotten about his Grand Final woes, and will be able to return to his amazing form, as he did during the previous season.
