Brisbane will challenge co-captain Harris Andrews' three match suspension as well as Darcy Gardiner's one-match ban at the Tribunal.
Andrews was handed a three-week layoff after an errant swinging arm knocked out Bulldogs forward Arthur Jones.
The Match Review Officer (MRO) graded the incident as severe impact, careless conduct and high contact.
Gardiner was also penalised for striking Aaron Naughton in a marking contest, with the action deemed as medium impact, careless conduct and high contact.
However, the Lions have accepted Zac Bailey's one-match suspension for striking Michael Sellwood.
Bailey's swinging elbow to the debutant's head was fortunate not to cause more damage, but was graded as intentional conduct, medium impact and high contact.
The Brisbane forward will miss the highly anticipated Round 1 clash against Sydney at the SCG.
The Tribunal is set to sit on Tuesday, with details to come.
The Lions will also miss star midfielder Hugh McCluggage for the next fortnight after scans revealed a low-grade calf strain.
McCluggage was unable to complete Saturday night's contest, coming from the field during the first quarter.
The on-baller is tipped to return to the senior side after Brisbane's Round 2 bye.
The reigning premiers face St Kilda on March 28.
