Brisbane co-captain Harris Andrews could be sent directly to the tribunal after an ugly incident involving Western Bulldogs forward Arty Jones on Saturday night.
Andrews' elbow collected Jones high, causing a concussion which ruled him out of the rest of the match and will result in him missing at least the Dogs' next match against GWS as he works his way through the protocols.
The impact will likely be high, though it is unclear whether the conduct will be graded as intentional or careless.
The incident occurred after a marking contest, with Andrews wildly swinging his left arm, seemingly to prevent Jones from accessing the ensuing groundball.
The premiership captain had a vague awareness of where Jones was, and it will be up to match review officer Michael Christian to determine whether Andrews deliberately made high contact, or it was careless.
An intentional would send him straight to the tribunal, while a careless grading would result in a two-week suspension.
Andrews will learn his fate on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, Brisbane will also be sweating on the fitness of star midfielder Hugh McCluggage who suffered a calf injury in the five-point Opening Round loss at the Gabba.
Prediction: two week suspension
