Collingwood premiership player Dane Swan has reportedly lost his licence after he was stopped by Police on Friday morning.

Swan blew 0.054 in Prahran and was taken to a police station, before he was released and handed a $484 fine.

His licence was immediately suspended for three months, pending further information.

Victoria Police confirmed the news to 3AW.

Swan was involved in the Grand Final edition of The Footy Show in Melbourne on Thursday night.

  1. Rules are RULES, albeit a tough lesson for Swan is this really the most appropriate penalty for such a low reading.
Given SWANNIES Profile, along with his commitment to RESPONSIBLE HANDLING OF ALCOHOL (through his investments in the Hotel Industry), a “BETTER PENALTY” would be to train or coach the impressionable 12-15 year olds the “right” and (wrong) things about Alcohol use & consumption!
3 months of Ubers, Taxis & offers from his many friends is hardly what could be considered a PENALTY, whereas (0)54 Hrs of raising the awareness of the foibles of his own action will ACHIEVE far outcome than raising the profits of the UBER Industry, when he could TRAIN so many of these ‘Impressionables’ to AVOID his own MISTAKES!
