Adelaide veteran Andy Otten is set to be named in the Crows' squad to face Geelong in the preliminary final on Friday night.

According to reports, Otten will come into the side to replace the injured Mitch McGovern, who suffered a hamstring strain at training over the weekend.

Otten has averaged 13.8 disposals, 4.3 marks and kicked 19 goals in his 17 matches this season.

He has not played a senior game since Round 19, after being dropped to the SANFL, despite playing 17 of the first 18 matches this season.

There will be one other change to the Crows' side that defeated GWS in the qualifying final a fortnight ago, with Brodie Smith set to miss after tearing his ACL against the Giants, while Rory Sloane will return from appendix surgery.

Geelong will also make at least one change with defender Tom Lonergan set to return from illness.

Speedster Nakia Cockatoo could also make a shock return from the hamstring injury which has kept him sidelined since Round 19 after he made the trip to Adelaide earlier today.

The full teams for this week's preliminary finals will be released at 6.25pm AEST.
