GWS ruckman Rory Lobb and midfielder Will Setterfield have both told the club they'd like to play elsewhere in 2019.

Lobb has nominated Fremantle as his preferred destination, while Setterfield has chosen Carlton as his club of choice.

With Lobb contracted until the end of the 2019 season and Setterfield 2020, the Giants have confirmed they expect both players to stay if suitable trades cannot be reached.

Lobb has played 74 games for the Giants since making his debut in Round 12, 2014, while Setterfield's only two games for the club came in Rounds 18-19 last year.

Setterfield was selected at pick five in the 2016 draft, and missed the entire 2018 campaign after suffering an ACL injury.
