Channel Nine has announced that journalist Rebecca Maddern will replace Garry Lyon as the new co-host of The Footy Show.
Maddern will join James Brayshaw, Sam Newman & Billy Brownless as regulars on the program.
The 38-year-old, who is the No.1 ticket holder with Geelong, is an award winning journalist and has been involved with the Seven Network for 14 years.
“I was looking for new challenges in life and this was an opportunity too good to pass up,” Maddern said of her appointment.
“It combines my journalism with my love of AFL football.”
