The AFL Players Associations has sanctioned five player agents for betting on the AFL.

The Age has reportedย thatย Luke Holland, Nick Gieschen, Wayne Loxley, Olaf Borutz and Garry Winter have been fined either $500 or $1000.

It has been reported that the AFL is contemplating implementing rules which would also prevent player managers from betting on state league matches in future, as well as AFL matches.
