As reported last week, former Richmond player Matthew Dea has officially been unveiled by Essendon.

Dea, 24, played 31 games for Richmond after being selected in the 2009 National Draft.

He played mostly as a rebounding defender during his time in yellow and black.

He is the fourth official top-up player to join the Bombers, with Ryan Crowley, James Kelly and Jonathan Simpkin already signing on.
