McClure said the contract was signed under Brad Lloyd, just a week or so before he left the Dockers, with current GM of Football Peter Bell trying to find a way to break the contract.
Bennell has only played two games for the club, after joining the Dockers following the 2015 season.
McClure: My understanding is that Peter Bell is trying to move on Bennell. There'd have to be some sort of financial resolution if they can't find a trade for him#NABTradeRadio
