Adelaide have told both Troy Menzel and Dean Gore they will not be offered contracts for the 2018 season and beyond.

Menzel joined Adelaide from Carlton in the 2015 trade period and played just four games for the Crows, while Gore moved to West Lakes during the same week, but failed to make a senior appearance.

Adelaide's Head of Football Brett Burton told the club's website the duo should be proud of the time they spent at the Crows.

“This is always a difficult time of year in the AFL and these decisions are certainly not taken lightly,” Burton told afc.com.au.

“Troy and Dean both bought in to our team-first culture and can be proud of the way they have carried themselves.

"We wish them all the very best for the future.”

Along with Menzel and Gore, veteran Scott Thompson has retired and Sam Shaw moves off the rookie list after retiring last season, meaning the Crows are up to four list changes for the off-season so far.
