Essendon has released the following statement after player Gach Nyuon was detained by Police on Saturday night:
Essendon Football Club can confirm rookie Gach Nyuon was detained by police for being drunk and disorderly in a public place following an argument with an UBER driver on Saturday night.
Gach was released early this morning without charge.
The Club has spoken to Gach, and Club management will consult with the leadership group to determine if any further action is required.
The Club will provide an update when appropriate.
