Essendon forward Orazio Fantasia is believed to be in contention for a move home to South Australia, with Port Adelaide placed as the frontrunners.

According to afl.com.au, Fantasia is set to undergo an independent medical testing for both Port and the Crows, but will need to confirm his departure from Tullamarine first.

The 25-year-old is contracted to the club for 2021 but is believed to have told the Bombers he is keen to return home to finish his career in South Australia.

Fantasia was linked to a move home during last year’s trade window before teammates convinced him to remain a Bomber.

The forward was again linked to a move to either Port or Adelaide in the middle of the 2020 season, with reports suggesting a deal will likely be done with the former.

The Crows would be keen on the goal sneak if a deal would suit their rebuild, with the club now looking to strengthen their draft selections instead of loading up with experience.
