Carlton veteran Kade Simpson is set for a farewell match against the Lions in round 18 in what will be his 342nd and final game for the club, per 7news.com.au.
The 36-year-old is a former vice-captain of the club and won the Blues' best and fairest in 2013.
Simpson will join Matthew Kreuzer in retiring Carlton names, with the club yet to make a decision on small forward Eddie Betts.
It is understood that Carlton coach David Teague is hoping Betts plays on with the club in 2021.
Betts, 33, remains out-of-contract for next season, but it is reported that Betts was noted he would be allowed to play in 2021 when he first returned to the club last year.
The Blues are likely to make a decision in the coming days, with the chance of Betts receiving a memorable farewell match against the Lions if he is to hang up the boots at the end of the season.
