Carlton has been forced into a late change ahead of its Saturday afternoon clash with West Coast after half-forward Jack Martin failed a fitness test.

As revealed by the Princes Park side on Friday evening, the former Sun "developed calf tightness and at this stage will be a test for next week".

Martin's setback will see Josh Honey earn an opportunity within Michael Voss' forward line, with out-of-touch goalsneak Zac Fisher added back into the squad as an emergency.

Since joining the Blues ahead of the 2020 season, Martin has donned the Blues' famous monogrammed guernsey on 44 occasions. Yet the 28-year-old has featured in just six fixtures throughout 2023, managing just the five majors.

Martin remains contracted to Carlton for the 2024 season.
