While there's speculation of an exodus at Carlton in the 2025 trade and free agency period, senior coach Michael Voss is confident the Blues will retain their two key stars who look destined to leave the club.

The legendary Carlton surname Silvagni may see itself listed under another club's colours in 2026, as former father-son pick Jack Silvagni appears to be weighing up his options as an unrestricted free agent. The key defender has reportedly drawn interest from several of Carlton's archrivals, including Collingwood, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs.

The 27-year-old has also met with Collingwood coach Craig McRae and Essendon coach Brad Scott recently amid a breakout season at the Blues, where his aerial threat in defence would be a boost for any club's backline, averaging a career-high 5.8 marks and 5.5 spoils this season.

Voss addressed the star's contract situation at a press conference on Friday, ultimately dismissing the concerns about his meetings with the opposition.

"I'm very confident [Silvagni will be at Carlton next year]," Voss said.

"He's in a position where he gets to explore what the next phase looks like for him. It's what free agency has done.

"For us, it's about finishing off as a team. Some of those other things that are happening will play out in due course, but we're going to finish with spirit, our leaders will lead really strong, our young players will get more exposure, and that's what we're locked into."

Similar concerns for the Carlton faithful have been bubbling away with Tom De Koning all season long, as he considers the hefty offer tabled to him by St Kilda, which is reported to be worth over $1.7 million per season.

Voss responded strongly to questions about De Koning's playing future with the club, however, believing the unresolved negotiations were not an issue to prioritise currently.

"It's the same thing [with Tom De Koning]. It will work out when it needs to work out. What are we, 15 days from the finish line? I think we can wait."

De Koning, Silvagni, Voss and the Blues will look to finish a dismal 2025 season on a high note. On Saturday night, they aim to upset the Gold Coast Suns at Marvel Stadium.
