The AFL have announced the times and dates of the 2025 qualifying finals, with Adelaide and Collingwood set to open September action this year in a Round 23 rematch on Thursday, September 4, at Adelaide Oval.
Geelong will face Brisbane at the MCG on Friday, September 5, in a highly anticipated rematch of their 2024 preliminary final, where the Lions clinched a famous 10-point victory.
First bounce for both top-four clashes will be at 7:40pm (AEST).
Gold Coast's monster 95-point win over Essendon on Wednesday saw them secure seventh spot and a trip to Perth to take on Fremantle.
As a result, Hawthorn slipped to eighth and will travel to Sydney to face the Giants.
"It's been one of the closest races for the final eight we've seen, with the last spot decided in the final match of the home and away season," AFL Head of Strategy and Scheduling Josh Bowler said.
"We're all set for the finals series, with the matchups and timeslots for the two Elimination Finals now locked in too, and fans are in for an exciting few weeks ahead of footy."
