Half Forward: Devon Smith (Essendon)

The former Giant was one of the best for Essendon and racked up 31 disposals, took eight marks and laid 13 tackles.

Centre Half Forward: Jack Gunston (Hawthorn)

The versatile Hawk was influential in helping the Hawks to a 63-point victory over the Dogs on Saturday. Gunston kicked four goals, had 21 disposals and ten marks to be one of the best players on the ground.

Half Forward: Tim Kelly (Geelong)

The first year mature age recruit played one of his best games for the Cats in their 12-point victory last Thursday night against the Swans. Kelly had 21 disposals, kicked two goals and laid five tackles.

Forward Pocket: Steele Sidebottom (Collingwood)

Sidebottom was terrific in his 200th game for the Pies on Sunday with 27 disposals at 85% efficiency, took six marks and kicked two goals.

Full Forward: Eric Hipwood (Brisbane)

The tall forward kicked a career high six goals to be one of the Lions' best in their 65-point victory over the Blues on Saturday. It was the most goals kicked by a Lions player since 2012 when former Lion, Daniel Merrett kicked seven goals against GWS.

Forward Pocket: Luke Breust (Hawthorn)

Breust had a day out for the Hawks and finished with 24 disposals, eight marks, seven tackles and six goals to be the best player on the ground in their domination of the Bulldogs.
