Delisted Sydney player Elijah Taylor has been fined $5,000 and a spent conviction after assaulting his ex-girlfriend in September, per Fox Sports.

Taylor was cut from the Swans this week following a troubled season, with the club stating his actions could “not be reconciled”.

The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to aggravated assault of Lekanhi Pearce at a Perth hotel on September 30.

Taylor was suspended for the remainder of the AFL season after breaching the league's COVID-19 protocols, with Pearce entering the Swans' hub.

The teenager was later stood down by the club after being charged by the police.

Taylor made his debut with Sydney in 2020 and played four games for the season.
