Essendon 11.6 72 def by. Collingwood 14.14 98

Alex Fasolo and Jamie Elliot both featured prominently in Collingwood's win over Essendon, kicking three and two goals respectively.

Jarryd Blair and James Aish both made their returns this weekend and finished the game unscathed.

For the Bombers, Aaron Francis will be pushing for a senior recall after a strong game. Francis played everywhere on the ground and was one of the best for the Bombers in the loss.

Williamstown 11.15 81 def. Footscray 10.11 71

Tim English dominated in the ruck in the Bulldogs' close loss to Wlliamstown. English had 20 disposals and 51 hit-outs, however English also kicked four behinds with no goals.

Forward Fergus Greene continued his strong form, kicking three goals and will be hoping to make his senior debut in the coming weeks.

Geelong 8.6 54 def by. Casey Demons 8.9 57

Swingman Cam Pedersen put his hand up for selection with a strong showing of 17 disposals and nine marks.

Aaron vandenBerg and Dean Kent showed good signs too, having 11 and 10 tackles respectively.

For the Cats, George Horlin-Smith was ruled out for most of the game after suffering a shoulder injury and Charlie Constable had a strong game with 26 disposals.

Frankston 8.7 55 def by. North Melbourne 16.17 113

Ruckman Brayden Preuss once again impressed for the Kangaroos, dominating the ruck contests and providing a good target when swung forward.

Youngsters Mitchell Hibberd, Ben McKay and Will Walker all impressed in the 58-point win.

Werribee 9.17 71 def by. Northern Blues 15.8 98

The Blues lost forward Patrick Kerr before the game and Kym Lebois during the contest, yet still finished 27-point winners.

Cam O'Shea may be a chance to return to the senior team due to senior injuries. He had 19 disposals.

Sandringham 9.13 67 def by. Richmond 20.13 133

Tigers midfielders dominated as Anthony Miles, Sam Lloyd and Jacob Townsend all had big games.

Miles collected 36 disposals, while Lloyd had 29 disposals to go with his two goals. Townsend laid 12 tackles to accompany his 24 disposals.

The victory put Richmond back on top of the VFL ladder.

Nathan Freeman in knocking on the door of an AFL debut for St. Kilda, after having 30 disposals and kicking a goal.

Blake Acres will also be a strong chance of a return to AFL level, collecting 36 disposals in the loss for Sandringham.
