Greater Western Sydney defender, Adam Kennedy, has re-committed to the club, for a further three years, becoming the fourth Giant to re-sign this week.
The new deal, which will keep Kennedy at the club until at least the end of the 2020 season, follows the re-signings of youngsters Will Setterfield, Tim Taranto and Harry Perryman earlier this week.
Kennedy, who is currently out for the season due to a knee injury, said it was an easy decision to put pen to paper.
“A lot of the guys I’m really close to have extended their contracts lately and there was no hesitation from my end,” Kennedy said.
“The club has always been great to me, but especially since my injury and this is where I see my future.
“We’ve come a long way as a group and I believe there are plenty of exciting times ahead.
“I know I can’t be out there this year but I’ll do everything I can to help the guys go as far as they can this season and I’m looking towards 2018, and getting back bigger and better.”
The 24-year-old has been at the club since season one and has played 83 games for the Giants since making his debut in 2012.
“He’s been here from the start and has been a key part of the culture we’ve built, and wants to keep growing with the club," General Manager of Football Wayne Campbell said.
“While 2017 hasn’t panned out the way he was hoping, we look forward to Adam return to the field in 2018 and playing a key role for the Giants for many years to come.”
