Former Gold Coast midfielder James Tsitas has signed with QAFL club Noosa for the 2026 season.

Tsitas, who was delisted by the Suns at the end of last year, spent 2025 with Gold Coast's VFL side and Broadbeach at the lower level.

The 2021 Magarey Medal winner also featured in the State Game between the VFL and the SANFL, with the former claiming the win during the week of Gather Round in South Australia.

Tsitas, who played five games at AFL level with the Suns and was recruited from the Woodville-West Torrens after a pair of SANFL premierships, is now heading for Noosa, signing with the Tigers for 2026.

"The Rococo Noosa Tigers are thrilled to sign James Tsitas for the 2026 season," a club post read.

"A former Gold Coast Suns AFL player, ex Suns VFL captain, 2021 Magarey Medallist, dual SANFL Premiership player, and Geelong VFL Best & Fairest winner, Tsitas is widely regarded as one of the best players outside the AFL system.

"An outstanding signing for the Tigers."

Tsitas also brings experience with Geelong's VFL program, with the 30-year-old claiming best and fairest honours with the Cats in 2017.

Noosa finished 10th on the QAFL ladder this year, claiming seven wins from 18 games to sit a win outside the top eight.
