Brisbane forward Tayla Harris has found a new home, moving to Carlton on the penultimate day of the AFLW trade period.

In a massive four team deal involving five players, Harris moved to Carlton in return for Nat Exon and Bella Ayre, while Melbourne sent Deanna Berry to the Western Bulldogs in exchange for pick 12.

The Demons then used pick 12 to acquire Bianca Jakobsson from the Blues.

Carlton coach Damien Keeping said the club was excited to land such a talent.

"It’s a real endorsement for our club to have a player of the calibre of Tayla wanting to be a part of our journey," Keeping said.

"She was the leading contested marker in the competition this season and we will look to capitalise on that strength all over the ground."

Harris now teams up with Darcy Vescio in the Blues' forward line, who lead the league with 14 goals in it's inaugural season.
