The Gold Coast Suns are reportedly considering trading the No. 3 pick at the upcoming national draft in exchange for multiple early selections.

According to an AFL.com.au, the club is looking to potentially secure a package of picks in order to get their hands on multiple highly-rated first-round talents.

Father-son prospects Nick Daicos (Collingwood) and Sam Darcy (Western Bulldogs) will likely be the first cabs off the rank at November's draft, but after them there are a host of promising youngsters battling to be chosen among the top 10.

South Adelaide midfielder Jason Horne-Francis and Sandringham wingman Finn Callaghan will likely make up the top four picks, according to AFL draft guru Cal Twomey.

With such an even level of talent after that first quartet, a club like the Suns could look to trade down a few spots from No.3 and add another early selection to their overall haul while still being able to select a highly-talented prospect with their trade-down pick.

Rival clubs are aware that the Suns are open to trade offers, with the Queensland club also believed to be keen on adding ready-made talent this off-season.

However, as it stands, Gold Coast will carry picks No. 3, 19 and 22 into this year's trade period.
