Geelong have reportedly told young gun Charlie Constable to seek a new club as the Cats won't stop the midfielder from departing Kardinia Park, per The Geelong Advertiser.
Constable has played just nine games since being drafted with the 36th overall pick in the 20178 draft, managing to feature in the Geelong senior side just twice in 2020.
The 21-year-old is contracted with the Cats for next year, but the club have allowed him to explore his options elsewhere.
It is understood that the Cats would welcome the idea of Constable playing in the navy blue and white hoops in 2021 if a deal can't get done.
Constable has proven to be a promising product in short time, but has struggled to break into Geelong's engine room due to their midfield depth.
Constable averaged over 23 disposals in his first six matches and stands at 191cm, potentially warranting a late second to early third round pick in return.
Geelong delisted James Parsons, Blake Schlensog and Jacob Kennerley on Monday.
