Yet another key Bomber looks set to depart as the club prepares for a significant list makeover this off-season.

Just 12 months after he was linked to a move back to South Australia, gun forward Orazio Fantasia's trade request is imminent.

Despite being contracted to the Bombers until the end of next year, a move to one of the two South Australian clubs looms in the upcoming November window.

Speaking on SEN’s Bob and Andy, Essendon GM of Football Dan Richardson detailed how Fantasia has been dealing with homesickness.

“He hasn’t requested a trade. He has expressed periods of homesickness and he’s certainly got a very close connection family wise back in Adelaide," Richardson said.

“If there was a request forthcoming for him to want to return there, then I don’t think that would be a surprise, but we’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it."

The 25-year old was restricted to just five games in 2020 due to a quad injury.

It comes after Adam Saad and Joe Daniher earlier this week both expressed their desire to depart Essendon in the off-season.

Last month Irishman Conor McKenna announced his retirement to return home.
