Adelaide's Josh Rachele has been charged by the AFL's Match Review Officer for an incident involving an umpire during Thursday night's Showdown win over Port Adelaide.
Rachele has been cited for making careless contact with an umpire during the fourth quarter of the Crows' 30-point win over the Power.
The reportable offence does not warrant a grading by the MRO, with Rachele instead hit with a fixed financial sanction.
The young Crows forward can accept a $1250 fine with an early guilty plea, or risk challenging the charge via written submission at the AFL Tribunal.
If Rachele does decide to challenge the charge and is unsuccessful, he will be sanctioned with an increased $1875 penalty.
The AFL will confirm on Tuesday whether any charges from Round 8 will be challenged.
Rachele was the only player from Thursday's game to be cited by the MRO.

Is it that embarrassing for the afl?
The only real explanation is that some silly twat ran in front of a player (again).
