West Coast debutant Bo Allan has been handed down a one-match suspension for his strike on Melbourne midfielder Jack Viney.

Allan fronted the Eagles fans for the first time, but after a third-quarter incident against Viney saw the Match Review Officer (MRO) stepped in.

The Eagles youngster's strike was graded careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a one game ban.

In the same game, Harley Reid and Trent Rivers were both offered fines for their indiscretions.

Reid's strike on Caleb Windsor saw the MRO give a $1,500 ($1,000 guilty plea), while Rivers' carelessly made contact with an umpire, which yielded the same monetary punishment.

Demons forward Jake Melksham avoided any punishment for the contentious contest with Jeremy McGovern, forcing the MRO to explain their decision.

Melksham kept his eyes on the ball during a marking contest, but made contact with McGovern's back, which inadvertently resulted in a clash with Harrison Petty, causing both players to suffer a concussion.

"It was the view of the MRO that the contact from Melksham was not of a forceful nature and that, having regard to all of the circumstances, it was not reasonably foreseeable that McGovern and Petty would make contact in the manner that occurred," the statement said.

In the earlier Saturday clash between the Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide, three Power players were fined for their offences.

Forward Mitch Georgiades copped a $6,250 ($3,750 guilty plea) for his rough conduct charge on Bulldogs veteran James Harmes.

The MRO graded the incident as careless conduct, low impact and high contact.

Port Adelaide captain Connor Rozee was fined $1,500 ($1,000 guilty plea) for his strike on Laitham Vandermeer.

Willie Rioli received the same sanction for his hit on Bailey Dale.

Earlier in the round, St Kilda ruckman Rowan Marshall was charged with tripping Fremantle's Murphy Reid. He was fined $6,250 ($3,750 guilty plea).

Dockers midfielders Andrew Brayshaw (tripping Max Hall) and Matthew Johnson (umpire contact) also received $1,500 ($1,000 guilty plea) sanctions for their behaviour.

On Thursday, Essendon's Mason Redman avoided a match suspension for his rough conduct on North Melbourne youngster Finn O'Sullivan.

The MRO graded the incident careless conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a $6,250 ($3,750 guilty plea).
