Hawks key forward Mabior Chol has been handed a three-game suspension for his dangerous tackle on Geelong star Tom Stewart, which left the key back concussed, meaning Stewart will be unable to play in the 2025 Grand Final.
In the first term, Chol ran down Stewart inside 50, pinning both arms and driving him into the ground.
Fans noticed Stewart immediately grab his wrist, which is what the suspected injury was until it was quickly revealed that he was dazed.
The MRO deemed that Chol's reportable act was of careless conduct, severe impact and had high contact.

The punishment is identical to the one North Melbourne youngster Paul Curtis received for a similar style tackle on Port Adelaide's Josh Sinn in Round 7. The Kangaroos challenged the decision at the Tribunal, but were unsuccessful in their attempt to reduce or alleviate the ban.
Chol's suspension was not the only incident the MRO found on Saturday night, with gun forward Jack Ginnivan also receiving a significant fine of $10,000, or $6250 with an early plea, for tripping Geelong's Jack Bowes during the third quarter.
The MRO ruled the trip as having low impact and body contact, but of intentional conduct. The financial sanction is large as it is Ginnivan's third tripping offence.
