The AFL's Match Review Officer has handed down one charge from Thursday's contest between Fremantle and Essendon.
Bombers skipper Zach Merrett has been charged with making careless contact with an umpire.
The incident occurred in the first quarter of the game at Optus Stadium.
Merrett has been handed a $1500 fine, which can be reduced to $1000 with an early plea.
It is the first charge against Merrett for the entire season so far.
No other player was charged by the MRO from Thursday's affair.
