The AFL's Match Review Officer has charged two players from Thursday's game between Brisbane and Collingwood and has offered an explanation as to why Lions forward Logan Morris has avoided a charge.
An incident involving Morris and Collingwood's Darcy Moore in the final term was expected to gain the MRO's attention, with Morris pushing his opponent into a marking contest.
Moore suffered a damaged ear and was unable to continue in the match due to the collision, with Morris' actions a chance to earn some level of scrutiny.
The MRO has stated that Morris's contact on Moore was "not of a forceful nature" and that he "could not have reasonably foreseen" the outcome of the collision Moore had with teammate Jeremy Howe.
The MRO confirmed Morris' actions were not "unreasonable in the circumstances" and decided against handing down a charge.
"The incident involving Brisbane's Logan Morris and Collingwood's Darcy Moore from the Fourth Quarter of Thursday night's match was assessed," the MRO wrote.
"Morris and Moore run back with the flight of the ball with their eyes on the ball as Jeremy Howe and Cam Rayner approach from the opposite direction. With his eyes on the ball, Morris makes contact with Moore, with Howe making high contact to Moore in the marking contest.
"It was the view of the MRO that the contact from Morris on Moore was not of a forceful nature and that Morris, under the circumstances, could not have reasonably foreseen that Howe would make high contact with another player in the manner that occurred.
"Accordingly, it was the view of the MRO that Morris's conduct was not unreasonable in the circumstances. No further action was taken."
Meanwhile, Magpies pair Nick Daicos and Jeremy Howe have been charged with 'other misconduct' and 'attempting to trip' respectively.
Daicos has been handed a fine of $1500 for his offence from the third term of the game, which can be reduced to $1000 with an early plea.
Howe too can reduce his fine from $1500 to $1000 with an early plea.
No other players were charged from Thursday's game at the Gabba.
