Welcome to Craft of the Draft's maiden Mock Draft for 2025, with a total of 23 selections made in a 'live' count of how opening night for this year's intake might unfold.
Matched bids for Academy and father-son draft prospects are included in the Mock Draft, as are the estimated landing spots for free agency compensation selections.
Matched bids for clubs have seen their subsequent selection(s) dissolve from the draft order, pending the timing of the bids.
The 14 clubs involved in the Mock Draft were split between Craft of the Draft analysts Jonty Ralphsmith and Mitch Keating.
Jonty's Picks - West Coast, Essendon, Hawthorn, Sydney, Fremantle, GWS and Geelong
Mitch's Picks - Richmond, Gold Coast, St Kilda, Carlton, Western Bulldogs, Adelaide and Brisbane
Not Involved - North Melbourne, Melbourne, Port Adelaide and Collingwood
Pick 3 - West Coast (Oscar Allen Compensation*): Cooper Duff-Tytler
| 5 RANK | ![]() | Cooper Duff-Tytler Calder Cannons Ruck/Forward HEIGHT: 200cm | â–¶+ |
How the Eagles follow up their opening selection will be fascinating.
The selection of Duff-Tytler is aided by the double pick the Eagles will possess, with most clubs likely to avoid only coming away with a ruck option as their sole pick in the early stages of a draft.
Having already added Duursma to their ranks, a selection for the long-term ruck-forward in Duff-Tytler gives the Eagles an immediate fix and an investment selection in their two bites of the apple.
As for the player they're recruiting in Duff-Tytler, the Calder Cannons ruckman is seen as a high-upside tall who can play as a fourth midfielder once the ball hits the deck.
