The AFL has confirmed Rock n' Roll Hall of Famers KISS will perform ahead of the 2023 AFL Grand Final as part of the season finale's pre-game entertainment.

The league revealed on Monday morning that the American four-piece will take to the stage as part of their 'End of the World' tour, with the globally-recognised band expressing their delight to play in front of close to 100,000 fans later this month.

โ€œThanks to Telstra, we will be performing at the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final," a statement on behalf of KISS read.

"We cannot wait to create rock'n'roll history playing at the iconic MCG in Melbourne for one last time.

โ€œWe're absolutely thrilled to be to be performing in front of 100,000 footy fans at the biggest and best sporting event in the country!  Be ready to ROCK as we'll be coming full throttle into the โ€˜G.  See you for that One Day in September!โ€

With headline tracks of I Was Made for Lovin' You and Rock and Roll All Nite, the 50-year-old group will look to rival last year's sensational act of Robbie Williams.

โ€œKISS will bring the energy and their trademark showmanship to Grand Final Day and put on a great, great show for the 100,000 fans at the โ€˜G and millions watching around the country," AFL commercial and customer executive Kylie Rogers said.

โ€œTheir reputation speaks for itself, they are responsible for some of the best live shows in music history and we know Gene, Paul, Eric and Tommy will absolutely rock the MCG pre-game.โ€

Further performers for the 2023 AFL Grand Final are set to be confirmed over the coming weeks.

The 2023 AFL Grand Final is scheduled for Saturday, September 30, with the match to commence at 2:30pm (AEST).
