Midfield guns Jagga Smith and Josh Smillie led Victoria Metro to a 33-point win over West Australia in Round 5 of the Marsh Under-18 Championships.

Smith (34 disposals, five marks, five clearances and a goal) and Smillie (22 touches, nine clearances, six marks and a goal) were instrumental in the come-from-behind victory, putting their names forward for a potential top-10 selection in this year's national draft.

Intercept defender Luke Trainor was strong behind the ball for Vic Metro while forward Thomas Sims could've had a massive day, kicking 3.3.

Son of Marcus Ashcroft and younger brother of Will, Levi continued his stellar form throughout 2024, gathering 27 possessions.

WA captain Bo Allan's midfield expertise was once again on display, amassing 19 disposals, five clearances and two goals as clubs consider his top-10 draft stocks, while Luke Urquhart continued his ball-getting ways with 27 disposals and five clearances.

Small forward Malakai Champion matched Sims' efforts with three majors of his own and Fred Rodriguez (23 disposals), Jaxon Artemis (20) and Hamish Davis (two goals) were some of the standout performers for the state side.

Vic Metro remain atop the Marsh Under-18 Championships ladder, winning two of their contests thus far, with match-ups against South Australia and Vic Country to come.

Western Australia are 1-2 after three contests and will face Vic Country in their last battle of the tournament.
