Vic Country have named a 27-player squad for this year's U18s Boys National Championships, with the list headlined by top 10 prospects, club-tied teenagers and some strong bottom-age names.
The squad includes five AFL Academy selections, with Willem Duursma, Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves, Ben Rongdit, Riley Onlet and Josh Lindsay named for Vic Country, with the latter claiming best-afield honours in the AFL Academy's second game against Coburg earlier this year.
Rongdit is among the list of players tied to AFL clubs, with the athletic defender a member of Geelong's Next Generation Academy, as is forward-midfielder Jesse Mellor.
Murray Bushrangers defender Harry Dean is tied to Carlton as a father-son prospect, with 2026 option Cody Walker falling under the same bracket for next year.
Dandenong Stingrays wingman Toby Sinnema is a member of Melbourne's NGA, while Gippsland's Mitch Stevsn is tied to Adelaide as a father-son.
The aforementioned Walker is one of three bottom-agers listed, with Gippsland's Will Malady and Dandenong's Darcy Szerszyn also only eligible for next year's draft.
Vic Country's 2025 carnival gets underway away from home against Western Australia on Saturday, June 7.
