With the 2025 U18s National Championships coming to an end, Craft of the Draft has looked to name the best team from this year's carnival.

South Australia dominated this year's title race, winning all four games to see a host of players sit in contention for the first round of this year's draft.

The Croweaters also led the way in the selected sides on this week's episode, with host Mitch Keating and analyst Jonty Ralphsmith each naming a representative team from this year's standouts.

The forward lines were where the two sides differed the most, with only three of the front six - Mitch Marsh, Aidan Schubert and Lachy Dovaston - named in both.

Ralphsmith selected Vic Country's Hugo Mikunda at half-forward, with his teammate Tairon Ah-Mu named at full forward and Vic Metro's Adam Sweid taking a pocket.

Keating named pair Marsh and Schubert in his two central roles, with their SA teammates in Cam Nairn and Sam Cumming slotting onto the half-forward flanks, while Hussien El Achkar was named on the full forward line.

Breaking down his selected side, both selectors had a player they wished they could have selected who was named in the opposing team.

For Ralphsmith, he couldn't find a spot for Nairn, while Keating felt Mikunda was among the unlucky ones to miss his side.

"Didn't get a lot of the footy in any of the games, but I thought he was really clinical throughout," Ralphsmith said of Mikunda on this week's episode of Craft of the Draft.

"[Nairn] was the unluckiest to miss."

Keating: "I wanted Mikunda, but couldn't didn't quite get him in.

"Ah-Mu was a strong starter for [Vic Country], but I've gone Cam Nairn. Had the seven-goal performance, but it wasn't just the one-off game. He showed he can be a key contributor."
