Eastern Ranges captain Ollie Greeves sent a timely 'reminder' to AFL scouts in last week's preliminary final win over the GWV Rebels with one of the best performances of this year's Coates Talent League.
Greeves collected 35 disposals, 14 marks and four goals in a strong victory that booked the Ranges a grand final spot against Sandringham this weekend.
All four of his majors came in a seven-minute window during the third quarter as Eastern piled on nine goals for the term to hold a 35-point buffer at the final break.
A potential top-five selection at November's draft, the performance saw Greeves return to his best form, which had been front and centre at this year's U18s National Championships for Vic Metro, for whom he claimed MVP honours.
Having been shifted forward in the later stages of the season with the Ranges, Greeves' latest outing combined his contested ball game and his attacking prowess to catch the eye of onlookers once more.

"He was very good on the weekend. He really turned it on, particularly for a 15-minute period in the third quarter, where he kicked goals. Every time he touched the footy, something was happening," analyst Jonty Ralphsmith said on this week's episode of Craft of the Draft.
"That was really fun to watch. It was probably a performance he needed, in some ways, just to remind everyone of his talents since coming back from Vic Metro and Caulfield Grammar duties.
"He has been a little bit quieter, but he has been shown a little bit more forward, rather than playing in the midfield.
"... They're monster numbers that showcase his strength and power."
Another of the Ranges' potential first-round selections is small forward Lachy Dovaston, who kicked two goals from 19 disposals against the Rebels.

The performance was the ninth game from Dovaston this year that has seen the lively attacker amass at least 16 disposals and two goals, with the teenager only going goalless in one of his 15 CTL matches for 2025.
"His ninth game of at least 16 touches and two goals," Craft of the Draft's Mitch Keating said of Dovaston.
"That's a stellar run for him this year, and that's why he's so highly rated."
