Carlton Father-Son prospect Cody Walker showed his class in the annual U17s Futures match played as a curtain-raiser to the AFL Grand Final on the MCG.
Walker amassed 25 disposals and seven clearances in a midfield performance which earned him best afield honours, underlining why he's viewed as a top-five talent in next year's draft crop.
It follows a season where he averaged 26 disposals for Bendigo Pioneers and represented Vic Country's U18s at the National Championships.
The match featured 46 of the country's most talented U17s footballers.
All representatives will be eligible for selection in the 2026 Telstra AFL Draft.
The teams were named in honour of recently retired AFL greats Travis Boak and Sam Docherty, with Team Boak winning 14.5 (89) to 11.10 (76).
Speedy Geelong Falcons winger Noah Williams took out Team Boak's Best On Ground, putting himself on the map with an influential 17 disposal game, particularly prominent in the first quarter.
Richmond Next Generation Academy prospect Tanner Armstrong showed off his ferocity and power in a 25-disposal, seven clearance performance.
West Coast linked lefty Garrison Kenh's pace out of defence was eye-catching while Gold Coast Academy halfback Archie Hill and Brisbane Academy's Caylen Murray also had moments.
Gippsland Power forward Wil Malady kicked five goals to spearhead Team Boak's forward line, while his Power teammate Marlon Neocleous was busy with 23 disposals and three goals.
Eastern Ranges premiership player Jordan Knapp's speed was important for Team Docherty, finishing with 16 disposals.
South Australia's Gabe Patterson was an important forward presence with 10 disposals, 2.2 and a goal assist and he was complemented for Team Docherty by fellow highly rated Croweater Kodah Edwards' two-goal performance.
The previous two instalments of this game have produced 30 draft prospects in the following year's draft.
