Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Mitch Szybkowski was stunningly overlooked across Monday and Tuesday night despite heading into this year as a potential first-round selection. SA's Adam D'Aloia, WA's Sam Gilbey and Oakleigh's Blake Drury were also not selected. Brisbane Lions Academy prospect Shadeau Brain didn't receive a selection and could be considered by the Lions, who will add Darryl McDowell-White to their list as a Rookie.
