The AFL has confirmed that the preliminary final to be hosted by GWS next Saturday will start at 5.15pm.
The game has been scheduled as a twilight fixture to maximise TV audiences outside of New South Wales and to allow enough time for the away team, being either Hawthorn or the Western Bulldogs, to travel home to Victoria that evening should they win.

Yet the VFL refuse to play the swans crows game as anything other than a night game. If the crows win they can’t get home on the same night and front six days later to play Geelong. Very nice of the VFL to have a twilight prelim so should the Victorian club win they can get home on the same night.
NATIONAL COMP?, yeah right.
