AFL Chief Executive Gillon McLachlan has revealed hat he is experiencing cold-like symptoms and will be in self-isolation.

It comes amid news that Victoria recorded a whopping 288 new cases of COVID-19 overnight.

McLachlan has been regularly tested since the season's resumption but not in the past two weeks. With Melbourne returning to stage 3 lockdown, he may be tested again.

“I‘ve had a number of them (tests). I’ve been locked in my room and probably thinking about having another one. I had one a couple of weeks ago,” McLachlan told 3AW.

“I‘ve been locked in a room since I was feeling average yesterday, so I’ve been avoiding [my kids], but it’s getting increasingly hard.”

All 10 Victorian clubs made the move to interstate hubs this week due to the spike of COVD-19 cases in the state.
