The AFL has announced that this year's AAMI Community Series will be reduced to one game per team.
Each team was scheduled to play two games across three weeks, but the AFL has taken the step to reduce the series to prioritise the health of players and staff.
Teams will now play a pre-season practise match against a team from the same state in the last week in February and will be able to decide the format of each game, including the number of players and quarter lengths.
The AAMI Community Series will then be held from Wednesday, March 3 to Sunday, March 7.
