Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks has lauded his side's impressive efficiency as they smashed Gold Coast by 61 points to solidify their top-four spot.
The Crows were breathtaking during Sunday's clash, in particular their first half, kicking nine goals to nothing to put the result beyond doubt.
Albeit the statistics were relatively even, especially by the end of the game, Nicks was in awe of his team's ability to take their opportunities, capitalising on turnovers (+42) and generating scores from stoppage (+25).
"I dream about it a lot, but the reality is it's not easy to do, and a lot of things have to go your way, and they did in the first half," Nicks said.
"But you get what you deserve. We train that (defensive pressure) a lot, that's what we work on, we work to have that result at half-time and then be able to do different things in the second half without risking it.
"We were hungry โฆ we brought pressure, that's where I'd say we've been most of the year, and then the scoreboard ticked over.
"I thought we were really efficient with the ball, so when we had our opportunities, which was the difference in that first half to come in nine goals up, and every single other stat didn't sit in that space.
"It was quite even, but our efficiency with the ball really sort of stood us out as well as the pressure we were putting on."
A key component of the club's dominance was star recruit Alex Neal-Bullen, whose performance proved how pivotal he is to Adelaide's premiership chances.
The former Demon slotted three goals from a career-high 31 disposals, whilst also directly dishing two more majors to teammates.
Neal-Bullen also led the Crows for metres gained (539m) as well as handball receives (15), meaning he was prepared to run and drive the ball forward.
"We've learnt from really experienced players, Alex Neal-Bullen coming into our side and sitting down in a room and allowing Alex to talk to us about his experiences," Nicks said.
"The bonus on top is that he's a pretty damn good footballer as well.
"You can't measure what it is he's added to our group, as much off-field as he has on-field, and it's hard to say what he's brought more of.
"But tonight I thought he was a standout for us, I thought, as far as guys who impacted the game."
Adelaide bridged a gap between Geelong, Hawthorn, GWS and Fremantle after their strong victory over the Suns, and now has a home qualifying final in their sights.
Next week's clash against arch rivals Port Adelaide, with Hawthorn, West Coast, Collingwood and North Melbourne to come.
