These two sides only met once in 2017, and so much has happened to both sides since the first bounce that day.

With both Adelaide and Richmond entering their round six clash undefeated, the Tigers went over to South Australia with their tails up, but ultimately travelled back home with their tail between their legs.

Despite a hot start by Richmond that saw them lead by nine points at quarter time, the Crows kicked 16 of the next 20 goals to run away with the match, and smash the Tigers by 76 points.

Sam Jacobs was one of the Crows' best that day, with 26 disposals, nine marks, eight inside 50s, 50 hitouts, and even added a goal.

Rory Sloane (33 disposals, eight tackles and three goals) and Taylor Walker (15 disposals, seven marks and five goals) also led from the front as well.

Looking at the two sides that Sunday afternoon, Adelaide's team in this weekend's grand final will see three different changes, while Richmond will have made four.

Adelaide's round six side vs their likely grand final team

Ins: Paul Seedsman, Hugh Greenwood, Riley Knight

Outs: Brodie Smith, Wayne Milera, Curtly Hampton

Differences: Smith's campaign came to an end when he ruptured his ACL against GWS in the first week of the finals, while Milera played 16 games this season with his last game coming in round 23, and Hampton's season ending in round nine with an ankle injury.

As for the ins, Seedsman has played the last three games for the Crows and starred in their win over Geelong last Friday, with 19 disposals and two goals.

Greenwood (14 games) and Knight (18) have both featured in more than half of their side's matches, with the pair playing in both of their finals matches.

Richmond's round six side vs their likely grand final team

Ins: Jacob Townsend, Shane Edwards, Nathan Broad, Jack Graham

Outs: Reece Conca, Jayden Short, Oleg Markov, Steven Morris

Differences: Conca injured his ankle in that match and hasn't returned to the senior side since, as well as Morris, who played his only match of the year in that match.

Markov and Short have both been in and out of the side, and have been replaced by two more consistent players.

Defender Nathan Broad and midfielder Jack Graham have both held their spots since first being included, with Broad playing the past nine games, and Graham the past four.

Edwards missed the round six clash with a hop injury, while Townsend has been a revelation since his senior inclusion in round 22, booting 14 goals from four games.

Since their one and only match-up this season in April, the form of both sides has been relatively similar, with the Crows winning 11 from their last 18 games (including their round 19 draw with Collingwood), while Richmond have won 12 from 18.

In recent weeks, both sides' main strengths have been on show, with Adelaide's scoring prowess and ball movement helping them navigate their way through to the decider, while Richmond's maniac pressure on the football has helped them achieve the same fate.

It's a battle that will likely decide the outcome of Saturday's game, with the Crows remarkably going undefeated in all 15 games in which they scored over 100 points.

On the other hand however, Richmond have kept their opponents to 80 points or under 19 times this season.

Based on those numbers, something's got to give this Saturday.
