Multi-sport athlete Indy Cotton is set to nominate the Adelaide Crows as his club of choice if he elects to choose a playing career in the AFL, according to AFL Media's Cal Twomey.
It was reported in May that Cotton had eight AFL clubs inquiring about his footballing prospects, with Brisbane, Geelong, West Coast, Port Adelaide, Gold Coast and Essendon linked to the hunt for his rights.
The 18-year-old is a talented basketball player, in addition to his excellent footballing ability. He recently attended a training camp in China run by NBA superstar Steph Curry and has represented Australia in his elite junior playing days.
Cotton is reportedly nearing his decision on which sport he will elect to pursue, also having a number of basketball offers to consider.
The 195cm prospect hasn't played organised football in three years, though he played in South Australia's state programs in his junior days, which has played a role in his decision to nominate the Crows.
Adelaide is poised for a recruiting win, with the Crows in the box seat to be Indy Cotton's favoured club as the in-demand Category B prospect nears his decision between basketball and AFL.
