Adelaide has confirmed that key forward Darcy Fogarty has avoided any serious injury to his shoulder after a heavy knock with GWS defender Harry Himmelberg.
Fogarty came off second best from the hit during the third term, with a diagnosis revealing a sternoclavicular joint sprain.
The Crows tall was sent for scans on Sunday following the club's impressive win over the Giants.
Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said Fogarty would be assessed in the days to come, but stopped at ruling him out of Round 7.
"We will need to let it settle for a couple of days so he will be on light duties, but in short, there is no major structural damage, which is pleasing," Burgess said.
"It's too early to rule him out of the trip to Perth, but his availability will obviously depend on how he responds during the week."
Hawthorn midfielder suffered a similar injury late last year, although he sustained a partial dislocation of his collarbone near his sternum.
Day was pushing for a finals appearance had Hawthorn progressed to the preliminary final, but failing to defeat Port Adelaide the week prior, he was sent for surgery to rectify the issue.
It is understood that Fogarty has suffered a sprain at this point, and the injury isn't as severe as Day's.
Adelaide faces Fremantle on Anzac Day, which gives the 25-year-old six days to recover.
Games against Carlton, Port Adelaide and Collingwood are to come in the next month.
