Adelaide has confirmed that key forward Riley Thilthorpe has sustained a hairline fracture in his left hand during the Anzac Day loss to Fremantle on Friday.

Thilthorpe battled through the injury, kicking three goals from nine disposals, with news coming to light that he'd dislocated his finger.

Subsequent scans on Sunday revealed a "minor fracture associated with the dislocation", but shouldn't impact his training loads throughout the week.

Adelaide statement:

"Crows forward Riley Thilthorpe has sustained a hairline finger fracture on his left hand and will be re-assessed later this week.

"Thilthorpe dislocated his finger in Friday's loss to Fremantle and played out the game.

"An x-ray on Sunday showed a minor fracture associated with the dislocation which is not expected to impact his ability to train this week.

"He will run on Monday and begin handling the football later in the week ahead of determining his availability to play Carlton on Saturday."

If Thilthorpe were to miss the Blues clash, it would be a massive blow to their forward line, with fellow tall Darcy Fogarty also on the sidelines.

Fogarty suffered a sternoclavicular joint strain in a contest against the Giants last week, and is expected to miss a fortnight.

Defender Mitch Hinger has also been offered a one-match ban for his strike on Fremantle midfielder Andrew Brayshaw, with the MRO grading the incident as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.
